Dave is The SalesPreneur! As featured on ABC’s hit TV Show “Shark Tank”, Dave can stand with the best of the best…he swam with the sharks and lived to tell about it! He has over 15 years of professional sales experience and has never (not once) missed a target. He hates to lose, as a matter of fact, he’s a sore loser! In creating The SalesPreneur, Dave and his team have demonstrated how to close more deals in less time. His extensive background in product and service sales, technology, banking, financial and retail verticals makes his company a valuable resource to any company, large or small looking to grow market share. He sits on several boards and supports many local charities. A native of CT, Dave is a graduate of Bryant University, married his high school sweetheart, Amy and has two children, Lily & Noah. Dave and his family live in CT with their dog, Jeter and enjoy traveling, cooking, exercising and enjoying all that life has to offer.
Karen Giammattei
Karen M. Giammattei, CPA graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1987. Her areas of expertise include business accounting, individual and corporate tax planning and estate tax planning. Karen is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has also served as a trustee, officer or treasurer on various community organizations. Outside of her professional career she is an avid runner and ran the 2007 New York Marathon. She is also a professional clown and has donated her time to bring smiles to the faces of the children of CT attending many of the Barnum Festival Events in CT and local children’s hospitals. Karen has been a lifelong resident of Stratford, Connecticut where she lives with her husband Jim and three children.
Tim Bertrand
A 13 yr veteran of the Enterprise Software business, Tim leads Acquia’s, Worldwide Field Sales as Vice Preseident. Tim came to Acquia from OpenSpan where he served as Vice President of Worldwide Channels, which included managing many Enterprise deals and all worldwide ISV/OEM, Reseller, System Integrator and Public Sector relationships. Prior to joining OpenSpan, Tim served in various leadership roles including direct, indirect and Public Sector sales roles at Systinet Corporation (acquired by Mercury Interactive), Cape Clear Software (acquired by Workday) and Silverstream Software (acquired by Novell) At Acquia, Tim and his team oversee many of the company’s Enterprise customer relationships, as well as Software Publishers, Public Sector, Europe, APAC and other strategic initiatives. He holds a degree with honors from Bryant University and lives in MA with his wife Cara, daughter Hanah & two dogs, Tessa and Toby. Tim and his wife own a semi-professional auto racing team & enjoy traveling, cooking and great wine.
Brian Ruscin
Brian has spent the past 11 years in the General Accounting department of MTV Networks, a division of Viacom, and is currently Vice President of Finance at Viacom. The company’s portfolio spans more than 150 television channels and 350 digital media properties worldwide, and includes MTV, VH1, CMT, Logo, Harmonix, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Noggin, The N, AddictingGames, Neopets, COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike TV, TV Land, Atom, Gametrailers and Xfire. Prior to his time at MTV Networks, Brian spent two years at the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen auditing clients in the telecom and casino gaming industries. He is a graduate of Bryant University and lives just outside New York City.
Tim Howell
Tim is a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP in Louisville, KY with over 11 years of business advisory experience. Prior to his current position in the Louisville office of Ernst & Young, Tim has worked extensively in the firm’s Washington DC, Boston and Honolulu offices, serving a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, software and health care. Tim’s graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston College with dual majors in Finance and Information Systems. He has been a Certified Information Systems Auditor since 2002 and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Tim is a competitive endurance athlete and has completed 14 marathons and 4 triathlons. He lives in Louisville, KY with his wife Sarah, his two daughters Alexis and Skylar, and their dogs Otto and Orion.
Kevin Prudente
Kevin is the Controller for the Process Solutions – North American business unit (~$450M) at EMD Millipore. His primary responsibilities include business partnering, forecasting and reporting for the sales, marketing and R&D functions while continually developing a high performing Finance team.Before becoming the Controller, Kevin was the project manager for the Finance integration when Merck KGaA purchased Millipore Corporation, and prior to that, Kevin led the Lean & Six Sigma initiative for the Finance organization at Millipore. Prior to joining Millipore, Kevin worked domestically & internationally in consulting/audit roles at Boston Scientific Corporation, Nypro, Inc., and Ernst & Young LLP. Kevin holds a B.S. in Accounting as well as Information Systems from Bryant University, an MBA from Arizona State University, is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Information System Auditor, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He lives in MA with his wife Jaime and two daughters, Caroline & Charlotte and their dog, Marley.
Stuart D. Arkin
Stu has extensive experience in commercial real estate projects/transactions with private equity, developers and retailers. He has arranged strategic partnerships in Japan for Giuliani Partners/Sage Capital Global and others; represented tenants and owners in leasing transactions like Dinex Group, Daniel Boulud, Trump, Hyatt Hotels and others. His innovative ability, research discipline and negotiating skills producing highly lucrative results for clients and investors is a major asset to Salespreneur, LLC.He is also works with leading companies like Pythagoras-Solar, the industry’s first solar technology company that combines energy efficiency with power generation in a solar window; as an active Board member of the Deconstruction & ReUse Network, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) of California. He has previously served as Membership Chairman and Board member of the YM/WREA (Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York), has a working knowledge of Japanese language and culture, Spanish and French, and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in both New York and California.
